Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting White Cloud Indians (White Cloud, MI), 40-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Newaygo upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Lions host Holton (Holton, MI) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Holton won 57-21 in their recent league bout against Hesperia (Hesperia, MI)

Next up, the Indians play the Morley Stanwood Mohawks (Morley, MI) in a Central State bout, on Friday, February 9. White Cloud will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record.
