Louisiana High School Basketball - Springfield overwhelms St. Helena College and Career Academy

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA) and the host St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA), saw Springfield's basketball squad wallop St. Helena College and Career Academy by a tally of 58-36.

With the victory, Springfield improves its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Independence (Independence, LA) to confront the Tigers in a 2A District 7 challenge on Monday, February 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-13.

Next up, the Hawks confront the GEO Next Generation Tigers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. St. Helena College and Career Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 20-9 record after their 45-44 non-league win over Varnado (Angie, LA).
