In Friday's league test, the host Barrington Eagles ice hockey team scored a tight 5-3 win over the Cumberland Clippers.
The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos enter the State Championship Division test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Burrillville held off East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI), 7-3, in a league test.
Next up, the Clippers encounter the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a State Championship Division test, on Saturday, February 3. Cumberland will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Sentinels enter the test with a 9-7 record after their 3-2 league win over Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI).
