In Friday's non-league challenge, the Stevenson Spartans (Livonia, MI) ice hockey team nipped the visiting Catholic Central Cougars (Grand Rapids, MI), by a margin of 2-1.
The Spartans now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they host Dearborn for a Kensington Lakes - South challenge on Friday, February 2.
The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Cranes come into the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Cranbrook Kingswood nipped Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
