Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA), 57-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Barbe upgrades its record to 25-3 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to East St. John (Reserve, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 23. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 17-5. East St. John won 82-44 in their recent non-league bout against Slidell (Slidell, LA)
