The Florien Blackcats ran past the host Phoenix Spartans basketball team by a final score of 54-40 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Blackcats face the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs (Gibsland, LA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 23. Florien will attempt to move on its 31-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 27-6 record after their 44-40 non-league win over Holden (Holden, LA).
With the defeat, Phoenix moves to 19-12 on the year.
