In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Homer Pelicans basketball team scored a good 63-50 triumph over the Merryville Panthers.
In their next game, the Pelicans face the Arcadia Hornets (Arcadia, LA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 23. Homer will attempt to move on its 14-2 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 10-7 record after their 55-20 non-league win over South Plaquemines (Buras, LA).
With the defeat, Merryville moves to 10-11 on the year.
