Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY), 65-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bourbon County upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season.

Next up, the Lions play the Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Lewis County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 21-8 record after their 83-67 non-league win over Augusta (Augusta, KY).
