Indiana High School Basketball - New Castle can't hold off Lapel

February 20, 2024: New Castle, IN 47362

The Lapel Bulldogs basketball team scored 57 points and held the host New Castle Trojans to 51 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tipton for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 22. Lapel will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 63-51 league win over Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 21-1.

The Trojans (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Muncie Central (Muncie, IN). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Muncie Central was nudged by McCutcheon (Lafayette, IN), 46-45, in a league contest.
