Texas High School Basketball - Veterans Memorial nudges Leander

Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Leander Lions (Leander, TX), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Veterans Memorial upgrades its record to 36-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Jefferson (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 22. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 21-15. Jefferson won 60-50 in their recent non-league bout against Harlandale (San Antonio, TX)
