The Monroe City Panthers tipped the host Louisiana Bulldogs basketball team by a final score of 48-42 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the South Shelby Cardinals (Shelbina, MO) in a Clarence Cannon game, on Thursday, February 22. Monroe City will attempt to move on its 17-9 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 13-12 record after their 70-38 non-league win over Mark Twain (Center, MO).

With the defeat, Louisiana moves to 4-20 on the year.
