Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), 66-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pikeville upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 23. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 13-16. Paintsville lost 80-58 in their recent non-league bout against Morgan County (West Liberty, KY)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Magoffin County will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 9-16 record after their 78-72 non-league loss to Phelps (Phelps, KY).
