The Weslaco East Wildcats basketball team (Weslaco, TX), was nudged 42-40 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX)

The Diamondbacks now possess a 21-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gregory-Portland for a non-league battle on Friday, February 23. Pioneer will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 58-36 non-league win over Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 30-5.
