Barnesville Trojans (Barnesville, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ada-Borup/Norman County West Cougars (Ada, MN), 60-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Barnesville upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Hawley (Hawley, MN) to play the Nuggets in a AA Section 8 bout on Thursday, February 22. The Nuggets come into the bout with a record of 12-12. Hawley lost 36-27 in their recent league bout against Menahga (Menahga, MN)

Next up, the Cougars play the Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines (Graceville, MN) in a A Section 6 bout, on Friday, February 23. Ada-Borup/Norman County West will attempt to upgrade on its 18-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 74-66 league loss to Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (Wheaton, MN).
