North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Polk upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Comets travel to Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 20-3. Dallas Center-Grimes won 58-45 in their recent league bout against Pella (Pella, IA)
