Shorecrest Prep Chargers (St. Petersburg, FL) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting St. Johns Country Day Spartans (Orange Park, FL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chargers confront the Lakeland Christian Vikings (Lakeland, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 23. Shorecrest Prep will attempt to move on its 10-3 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 22-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over True North Classical Academy (Miami, FL).

The Spartans now possess a 15-3 record.
