Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 38-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Reicher Catholic for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. Abbott will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 21-7 non-league win over Gholson (Waco, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Itasca falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wampus cats travel to Keene (Keene, TX) to battle the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
