St. Martin Yellow Jackets (Ocean Springs, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), 9-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stone for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. St. Martin will battle a Tomcats squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Gulfport (Gulfport, MS). The Tomcats record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Long Beach falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
