In Thursday's non-league bout, the Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) baseball squad edged the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), by a tally of 5-4.
Next up, the Cougars encounter the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 21. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
The Trojans (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Rams enter the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Montwood Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 6-6, in a non-league bout.
