In Thursday's non-league test, the Joppatowne Mariners (Joppa, MD) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Southwestern Sabers (Baltimore, MD), by a score of 70-52.

The Sabers (2-14) will now prepare for their test against North County (Glen Burnie, MD). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 16-6 record. In their last test, North County was knocked off by Meade (Fort Meade, MD), 62-60, in a non-league test.
