The Metro Academy Mavericks basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Defenders to 39 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now have a 22-11 record. They play next when they travel to Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF for a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. Metro Academy will confront a team coming off a 76-28 non-league win over Smoky Valley Home Educators (Salina, KS). The record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Wichita Defenders HomeSchool falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to Kansas City East Christian Academy (Kansas City, MO) to confront the Lions in a non-league game on Saturday, February 22. The Lions go into the game with a record of 13-19. Kansas City East Christian Academy won 55-53 in their recent non-league game against Aspire HomeSchool (Broken Arrow, OK)
