Smith Center Redmen (Smith Center, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Minneapolis Lions (Minneapolis, KS), 56-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Smith Center upgrades its record to 6-12 on the year. The Redmen host Trego (WaKeeney, KS) to face the Golden Eagles in a Mid-Continent match on Friday, February 21. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a record of 9-10. Trego lost 55-40 in their recent league match against Norton (Norton, KS)

The Lions now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beloit for a North Central AA match on Friday, February 21. Minneapolis will face a Trojans squad coming off a 56-50 league win over Lyons (Lyons, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 13-4.
