Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) and the visiting Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA), observed Pinole Valley's volleyball team hold off Alhambra by a tally of 3-2.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Richmond (Richmond, CA). The Oilers come into the Tri-County bout with a 0-0 record.

With the loss, Alhambra drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA) to clash with the Red Devils in a Diablo - Valley bout on Tuesday, March 4. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
