The Union Area Scotties basketball team scored 38 points and limited the host Bishop Canevin Crusaders to 16 in the Scotties non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Scotties (18-0) will now prepare for their contest against Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA). The Crusaders go into the non-league contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Aquinas Academy smashed Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA), 64-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Serra Catholic Eagles (McKeesport, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 contest, on Monday, February 24. Bishop Canevin will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 12-11 record after their 64-45 non-league loss to Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA).
