In Thursday's non-league test, the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Parkview Baptist Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA), by a tally of 7-1.
Next, the Hornets clash with the Cecilia Bulldogs (Cecilia, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 22. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 15-10 non-league loss to Acadiana (Lafayette, LA).
The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Mandeville edged Northlake Christian (Covington, LA), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
