Texas High School Softball - Nixon sneaks past Del Rio

The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) softball nipped the host Del Rio Rams (Del Rio, TX), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (6-3) will now prepare for their bout against Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX). The Wolves go into the non-league bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Laredo LBJ tipped La Joya (La Joya, TX), 20-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rams clash with the Rockport-Fulton Pirates (Rockport, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 21. Del Rio will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 8-1 non-league win over King (Kingsville, TX).
