The Mater Dei Monarchs softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Upland Highlanders/Scots to 1 in the Monarchs non-league win on Thursday.

The Monarchs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Murrieta Mesa for a non-league battle on Friday, February 21. Mater Dei will encounter a Rams team coming off a 0-0 non-league Roosevelt (Eastvale, CA). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Upland moves to 1-1 on the season. The Highlanders/scots travel to Alta Loma (Alta Loma, CA) to encounter the Braves in a non-league battle on Monday, February 24. The Braves come into the battle with a record of 3-1. Alta Loma won 4-3 in their recent non-league battle against California (Whittier, CA)
