The Sonora Wildcats softball squad (Sonora, CA), was routed 9-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Merced Bears (Merced, CA)

With the triumph, Merced improves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Lodi (Lodi, CA) to face the Flames in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 22. The Flames enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Lodi lost 14-5 in their recent non-league contest against Franklin (Elk Grove, CA)

The Wildcats now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Riverbank for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 20. Sonora will face a Bruins squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Grace Davis (Modesto, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 1-0.
