The Port Neches-Groves Indians got by the visiting Orangefield Bobcats softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Kirbyville Wildcats (Kirbyville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 21. Port Neches-Groves will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Lufkin (Lufkin, TX).
The Bobcats (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Hardin-Jefferson held off Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX), 9-3, in a non-league challenge.
