Mississippi High School Baseball - Belmont sneaks past West Point

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) and the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), observed Belmont's baseball squad nip West Point by a final score of 3-2.

With the triumph, Belmont moves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Cardinals host Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS) to confront the Bearcats in a non-league match on Saturday, February 21. The Bearcats come into the match with a record of 1-4. Baldwyn won 8-7 in their recent non-league match against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS)

The Green Wave now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Choctaw County for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 24. West Point will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 3-2.
