The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) and the visiting Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), observed Calallen's softball team get by Canyon by a tally of 7-3.

The Wildcats (10-2) will now prepare for their bout against Bridgeland (Cypress, TX). The Bears go into the non-league bout with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Bridgeland nudged Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 11-0, in a league contest.

The Cougars now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Travis for a non-league contest on Friday, February 20. Canyon will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Brenham (Brenham, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-6.
