The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX) and the host Weimar Wildcats (Weimar, TX), observed Lytle's softball squad nip Weimar by a score of 6-5.

With the triumph, Lytle improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Pirates travel to Johnson City (Johnson City, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Friday, February 20. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 3-4. Johnson City won 11-0 in their recent non-league contest against Bandera (Bandera, TX)
