The Moody Bearcats softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Slaton Tigers to 4 in the Bearcats non-league win on Friday.

The Bearcats now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Axtell for a non-league battle on Friday, February 20. Moody will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Slaton moves to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Holland (Holland, TX) to confront the Hornets in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 21.
