The Perquimans Pirates basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Columbia Wildcats to 37 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 22-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside - Pinetown for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 23. Perquimans will battle a Panthers team coming off a 54-41 non-league win over East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 18-6.
