Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monte Vista upgrades its record to 23-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Granada (Livermore, CA) to play the Matadors in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 25. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 17-12. Granada won 61-41 in their recent non-league bout against James Logan (Union City, CA)
