New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) fans left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the host Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston Spartans (Washington, CT), 7-1 in a league match.

The Green Wave (15-3) will now prepare for their match against E.O. Smith/Tolland (Storrs, CT). The Bucks enter the non-league match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, E.O. Smith/Tolland was trounced by Newington Co-op (Newington, CT), 5-4, in a league match.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - DIII match, on Friday, February 24. Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Nighthawks enter the match with a 4-6 record after their 8-2 league loss to Masuk (Monroe, CT).
