The Monarchs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoover for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 23. Monte Vista will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 16-9 non-league win over Chula Vista Learning Community Charter (San Diego, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, La Jolla falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Montgomery (San Diego, CA) to battle the Aztecs in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 27. The Aztecs enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Montgomery won 19-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwest SD (San Diego, CA)
