Sonora Raiders (La Habra, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Villa Park Spartans (Villa Park, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to El Modena for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 22. Sonora will face a Vanguards squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA). The Vanguards record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Villa Park falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, CA) to face the Diablos in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. The Diablos enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Mission Viejo lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA)
