The Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) basketball knocked off the host Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI), 70-50 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Beavers (9-12) will now prepare for their test against Western (Parma, MI). The Panthers go into the Interstate Eight test with a 16-5 record. In their last test, Western notched a victory over Columbia Central (Brooklyn, MI), 68-39, in a non-league test.

The Bearcats now own a 0-18 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeview for a Southwestern Michigan - East test on Friday, February 23. Central will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 55-47 non-league win over Otsego (Otsego, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 14-7.
