Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Elkhorn North (Elkhorn, NE), 55-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Gretna East upgrades its record to 7-15 on the season. The Griffins travel to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE) to clash with the Antlers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 22. The Antlers go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Elkhorn won 64-57 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Michael Benedictine (Elkhorn, NE)
