In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers basketball team scored a tight 43-36 triumph over the Lapeer East Eagles.
In their next game, the Chargers meet the Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 22. Powers Catholic will attempt to better on its 11-9 season record.
With the defeat, Lapeer East moves to 0-3 on the year.
