The Lake Nona Lions softball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Winter Park Wildcats to 4 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Lake Nona moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lions host Cypress Creek (Orlando, FL) to play the Bears in a game on Friday, March 29. The Bears come into the game with a record of 0-1.
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Windermere Wolverines (Windermere, FL) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 23. Winter Park will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
