The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) and the visiting Slocomb Red Tops (Slocomb, AL), saw Long's baseball team gain a win over Slocomb by a tally of 11-5.
The Rebels (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Carroll (Ozark, AL). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Carroll was overwhelmed by Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL), 13-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Red Tops face the Geneva Panthers (Geneva, AL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 22. Slocomb will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL).
