The Mount Vernon Tigers baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Mineola Yellowjackets to 2 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.

The Tigers now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pampa for a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. Mount Vernon will play a Harvesters team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX). The Harvesters record now stands at 1-0.
