The Saltillo Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host New Hope Trojans to 0 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.
The Tigers now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Itawamba Agricultural for a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. Saltillo will clash with a Indians team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Indians record now stands at 6-0.
With the defeat, New Hope drops to 0-3 on the year. The Trojans travel to Caledonia (Caledonia, MS) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 25. The Cavaliers go into the test with a record of 2-2. Caledonia won 11-8 in their recent non-league test against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
