In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Edgewood Mustangs basketball team scored a close 63-61 triumph over the Mitchell Bluejackets.

The Mustangs (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brown County (Nashville, IN). The Eagles go into the Western Indiana contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Brown County tipped Dugger Union (Dugger, IN), 75-35, in a non-league battle.

The Bluejackets now own a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shoals for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. Mitchell will meet a Jug Rox squad coming off a 67-25 non-league loss to Orleans (Orleans, IN). The Jug Rox record now stands at 5-16.
