Nebraska High School Basketball - Elkhorn South succumbs to Grand Island

February 21, 2025: Omaha, NE 68130

In Friday's non-league test, the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) basketball squad defeated the host Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE), by a final score of 55-42.

Next, the Islanders clash with the Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) in a non-league test, on Monday, February 24. Grand Island will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 3-18 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Omaha South (Omaha, NE).

The Storm (6-15) will now prepare for their test against Omaha Westside (Omaha, NE). The Warriors come into the non-league test with a 20-3 record. In their last test, Omaha Westside overcame Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE), 61-54, in a non-league test.
