The New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL) basketball edged the visiting Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL), 78-75 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Yellow Jackets now possess a 19-10 record.
With the loss, Woodlawn falls to 18-12 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL) to play the Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Monday, February 24. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 9-21. Zeigler-Royalton won 61-59 in their recent non-league bout against Elverado (Elkville, IL)
