Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), 41-39 in a league match.

With the victory, Southside advances its record to 26-16 on the year. The Sharks travel to Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, February 28. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 23-12. Terrebonne won 54-32 in their recent league match against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA)

The Yellowjackets now own a 13-20 record.
