The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) and the visiting Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY), observed Bracken County's basketball team edge Montgomery County by a score of 48-45.

The Polar Bears (19-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Augusta (Augusta, KY). The Panthers come into the District 39 challenge with a 11-17 record. In their last challenge, Augusta was tipped by Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY), 42-32, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians play the Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 24. Montgomery County will attempt to move on its 19-11 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 25-6 record after their 76-28 non-league win over Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY).
